Costa Rica. Cartago. El Guarco (Canton). Estrella ±5 km E of km 31 of Interamerican Highway, near town of Estrella. Alt. 1685 - 1720 m. (5528 - 5643 ft.)

Description:

Gregarious. With spore print. Pileus 2.5-4 cm broad, 8C8. Stipe 3-5 cm long, 4-7 mm broad, pruinose, 8C8. Flesh white, unchanging. Tubes 4B3, pores near 4A4, with white basal mycelium. This specimen represents old material and if this species, it is quite faded. Spores need to be checked to see if short and broad (for a bolete). Also need better material. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.

Quercus oocarpa dominant. On soil.
