Description:

Pileus 1.5-5 cm broad, dry, convex to plano-convex, cinnamon brown overall becoming slightly paler with age and developing pale yellow near margin, subtomentose to subvelutinous. Flesh pale yellow, unchanging when exposed, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate with some subdecurrence,, yellow, unchanging with pores yellow, isodiametric to subangular, unchanging when bruised. Stipe 2-5 cm long, 4-10 mm broad, ±equal or sometimes slightly broader at apex and tapering downward, dry, bright yellow at apex, paler yellow below becoming pale brownish downward with age, with a slight but obviously coarse veined network near apex, subpruinose (lens), with pale yellow mycelium at base, and firmly attched to soil, with interior pale yellow to nearly white, ucnhanging when exposed. NH4: blue-green on pileus.
