Description:
Pileus scales tan to pale ochraceous, with red to pink confined between under scales. Pileus flesh yellow, quickly cyanescent; stipe flesh white, slowly orangish brown with exposure. Tubes and pores yellow, quickly cyanescent. NOTE: Image is mixed!! Paler 'carp on left = ananiceps and spores lack cross striae on ribs. Others with yellow flesh that is cyanescent and have sproes with cross striae on ribs = emodensis/deccptivus.

Sclerophyll. Syncarpia, Eucalyptus, Angophora, Allocasuarina. Gregarious. On soil, and at base of living trees.
