Description:

Pileus 9.5 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, black and glabrous on disc, dark brown and wrinkled to subrugulose at margin. Flesh pale yellow, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes deeply depressed, olive green (3D6), unchanging, with pores bright yellow to olive green, unchanging. Stipe 12 x 2.5 cm, equal, curved, tapered at base, dry, bright yellow to olive green at apex, paler yellow below, white at base, finely subpruinose above to subfibrillose, finely subscabrous ridged to subsquamulose to fibrillose below; the ridges obscure and ill-defined, with interior white with some yellow near surface. cfr: material from Girraween and Fraser.
Habitat:

Wet sclerophyll. Eucalyptus sp., Eucalyptus grandis, Allocasuarina. Solitary. On soil.
