Description:

Pileus 4-6.5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, even to uneven, becoming somewhat subrugulose with age, dry, finely subtomentose, reddish brown to dark brown (9F7,6,5; 9E4) , sometimes with a whitish 'bloom.' Context white to pale yellow with some hint of dull pinkish red under p-pellis, unchanging with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, bright yellow (3A6,5) at first, becoming olive green (3D6) with age, not changing but with pores bruising a darker olive green when bruised. Stipe 3-6 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, equal to slightly tapering downward,dry, yellow to pale yellow above, whiter below, pulverulent to subpruinose above, finely subscabrous below, developing some pale pink tints with age, with white mycelium at base, with interior white to pale yellow, unchanging.
Habitat:

Deciduous forest. Under Quercus. Gregarious. On soil.
