Description:

Pileus 4-4.5 cm broad, dry, matted tomentose, plano-convex, 5B-C5,4, not staining. Flesh white, unchanging, up to 8 mm thick, with mild odor and taste. Tubes subdecurrent, boletinoid in arrangement, pallid to 4B4, staining brownish (6E6) with injury; pores concolorous, staining likewise, compound boletinoid. Stipe 4 cm long, 1 cm broad, tapering downward, central, dry, minutely striate-subpruinose, paliid to 4B4, staining brownish (6E6) like hymenophore, with interior solid, white, staining like other tissues. KOH - slowly pale yellow. Spore deposit 4A3 (cream) when fresh.
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Eucalyptus grandis, Allocasuarina torulosa, Acacia, Banksia integrifolia, Syncarpia hillii. Solitary. On soil.
