Description:

Pileus 5.5-8 cm broad, convex, dry, matted subtomentose, 4A4 at first, soon 5C-D5 with age. Flesh white, 10-13 mm thick, barely with some light pinkish stain when exposed. Tubes 6-10 mm deep, depressed around the stipe, 6C-D4 at first, then 7C4; pores concolorous, <1 mm broad, staining darker. Stipe 12-13 cm long, 10-12 mm broad, ±broader below, dry, glabrous, 4A3 at apex, 4B6-5-4 below, developing brown spots, with white basal mycelium. Interior white, pale olivaceous with age. Odor mild, taste slightly bitter. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
