Description:
Pileus up to 16 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, with fine erect, rhubarb red scales. Stipe 17 x 1 cm, subclavate to nearly equal, dry, wholly red. Flesh yellow throughout and cyanescent, white at base.
