Description:

Pileus 6.5-9 cm broad, plano-convex to plane, dry, matted subvelutinous to matted subtomentose, red brown, with even margin. Flesh grayish vinaceous to lilac gray, unchanging. Tubes adnexed, rusty brown to pinkish brown, unchanging, with pores rusty brown to pinkish brown and unchanging. Stipe 3-5 cm long, 1-8-2 cm broad, equal, dry scissurate scaly, brownish lilac to grayish lilac to light rusty brown over a silvery background, unchanging, with interior lilac gray, unchanging, white at the base.
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Allocasuarina, Leptospermum. Gregarious. In sand.
