Description:

See 9127. Pileus red to dark red becoming pale red, tacky, 4.5-8.5 cm broad, convex, finely subtomentose and then with fine squamules. Flesh yellow, cyanescent, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, yellow to yellowish green, cyanescent, with dark red pores, cyanescent. Stipe 6-8 cm long, 5-10 mm broad, equal, usually slightly curved, dry, dark red, heavily subpruinose to subtomentose, white mycelium at base, with interior solid, red to brownish red.
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Syncarpia, Lophoostemon. Scattered. On dead wood.
