Description:

Pileus 6- 14 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, moist, subtomentose and barely wrinkled (akin to B. zelleri), black to dark brown. Flesh white with pale brown under pileus surface, yellow near tubes, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, olive yellow (3C6), unchanging, with pores uniform diam, and bruising pale brown. Stipe 4-8 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, subclavate, curved, dry, yellow to pale greenish yellow, subpruinose above, developing brown stains toward base with handling and age, with interior yellow in apex, whitish below, unchanging, with white basal mycelium.
Habitat:

Myrtaceae wet sclerophyll. Eucalyptus, Syncarpia, Lophostemon. Gregarious. On sand.
