Description:

Pileus 33-84 mm, convex with margin becoming uplifted, undulating; densely matted subtomentose, chamois to pale olivaceous (4C5-5C5), with dark gray fibrils, especially over disc. Hymenophore poroid; pores favoloid, 1-5 mm diameter in longest dimension, cream-colored, staining pale red-brown; tubes subdecurrent, concolorous with pores. Stipe 25-40 x 7-18 mm, solid, equal, white, russuloid; with minute brown pulverulence (or may be spore deposit) near apex. Context white, staining faintly reddish; odor slightly farinaceous; taste mild. Overall, basidiomes have a russuloid appearance, with the exception of having a favoloid poroid hymenophore.
