Description:

Pileus 2-6 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, moist to tacky, appressed fibrillose to matted, (10D4) when young, becoming (8E6), then (7D4). Flesh white, with some brownish pink under surface, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate to adnexed, bright yellow when young, soon greenish yellow to yellow, cyanescent, with pores likewise. Stipe 4-7 cm long, 5-15 mm broad, equal and tapered to a point at base, dry, strict or curved, barely subpruinose with low ridges, bright yellow when young, becoming flushed with pale red and the yellow fading somewhat to a pale olivaceous yellow, with interior whitish to yellowish white, unchanging, with yellow basal mycelium.
