Description:

Pileus 2-12 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, cinnamon brown on disc, yellowish white toward margin, radially matted fibrillose, cyanescent. Flesh white, intensely cyanescent, with somewhat of a faint violet hue, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, whitish at first, becoming pale yellow, with pores likewise and only the pores cyanescent. Stipe 3-9 cm long, 0.8-3 cm broad, subclavate to clavate, dry, with a faint annular zone, finely matted pubescent above, appressed fibrillose below, cyanescent, with interior white, intensely cyanescent, pithy to chambered and hollow.
