Description:

Pileus 3-4 cm broad, convex, dry, bright orange with some yellow near margins. Flesh white becoming pale pinkish tan when exposed. Tubes adnate, off white, somewhat boletinoid to subfavoloid. Stipe 4-5 cm long, 1-1.5 cm at apex, tapering downward, dry, strict, white to yellow at apex, with some orange below, yellowish white to base. Spores oblong-elliptical to subfusoid, subreniform in profile. Hymenial cystidia present (pseudocystidia).
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Syncarpia, Lophostemon. Scattered to gregarious. On sand.
