Description:

Pileus 5.5-6 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, but sticky when moist, finely matted, clay color to cinnamon brown (5D6, 6D6), with even margin. Flesh white, unchanging with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, wax yellow to straw yellow (3B5,4), with pores concolorous, unchanging when bruised. Stipe 5.5-6 cm long, 1.2-1.5 cm broad, equal, dry, pale tan to pale brown, finely scabrous with scabers a cinnamon brown, white at base, with interior white near surface (insect larvae nearly destroyed interior, but not hollow). cfr: REH9756.
