Description:

Pileus 5.5 cm broad, plano-convex, with black, fine, erect pyramidal warts, with pale gray between warts. Flesh white, intensely reddish orange when exposed. Tubes adnexed, light brownish gray, staining orangish then black when exposed, with pores light gray, staining orangish then black. Stipe 4 cm x 6 mm, curved, dry, coarsely reticulate and lanose and pale gray above, matted felty below and black, with interior as in pileus.
Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll. Syncarpia glomulifera, Eucalyptus, Leptospermum, Allocasuarina. Solitary. On sand.
