Description:
Pileus 3-5 cm broad, dry, coarsely squamulose scaly, pinkish (9-10B4), with dull and pale olive tips, with scales somewhat flattened, with flesh yellow to pale yellow and bluing when exposed, with sterile flaps of veil covering tubes when young, breaking and shrinking with age. Tubes adnexed, yellow, cyanescent, with pores concolorous becoming yellowish brown (5E7) and staining likewise. Stipe 5-7 cm long, 7-9 mm broad, ±equal and broader at base, dry, red at apex, whitish with scattered pinkish to pale red tints below, white at base, with interior white to a very pale yellow and scantily cyanescent.
