Description:

Pileus 5-5.5 cm broad, convex, dry to moist, subtomentose, brown (6E8,7,6), negative with NH4. Flesh white, unchanging, negative with NH4, with mild odor and taste. Tubes shallow, adnate, mustard yellow (3B-C6,5), unchanging; pores concolorous, unchanging, somewhat radially oriented. Stipe 3.5-5 cm long, 10-12 mm broad, equal to tapering downward, dry, pruinose, yellowish white (4A3,2), with bright lemon yellow basal mycelium; interior solid, whitish, unchanging.
Habitat:

Montane cloud forest. Quercus copeyensis, Q. seemannii. Gregarious. soil.
