Description:

Pileus 6-11.5 cm broad, convex, dry, finely squamulose to appressed wooly, nearest pale cinnamon brown (6D4), but soon black with age or with rain, with scant appendiculate remnants. Flesh white, changing to pale pinkish gray with some scattered orange then black, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, whitish, then red before black. Stipe 4-7 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, equal, curved, dry, coarsely reticulate under a pale gray, felty to wooly tomentum, with interior white changing to pale orange then black, solid.
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Allocasuarina sp., Acacia sp., Eucalyptus grandis. Scattered. On soil.
