Description:

Pileus 6-10 cm broad, convex to planoconvex, dry, finely subvelutinous to matted finely subtomentose, brown (5-6F8) with occasional whitish spots. Flesh white, staining blue, then brownsih pink then dark gray to black, with mild odor and taste. Hymenophore adnexed, tubulose, with tubes and pores pale brownish pink to light brown to brown, staining blue green then black. Stipe 10-13 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, slightly boader below, strict or curved at the base, dry, finely subpruinose overall, pale brown (6E5) to brown (6F8), white at the base, with interior white, staining blue, then pale pinkish to brownish pink, then dark gray to black.
Habitat:

Coastal conifer forest. Picea sitchensis. Gregarious. On soil.
