Description:

solitary. Pileus 6-7 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, subtomentose to matted subtomentose, grayish tan to orangish gray (5B-C3), with a short, sterile, inrolled margin. Flesh white, 2 cm thick, with mild odor and bitter taste. Hymenophore tubulose, adnexed, with tubes 5 mm long, grayish pink (7C4), with pores slightly paler to concolorous, not changing when bruised. Stipe 7 x 1-1.5 cm, subclavate, curved, dry, reticulate from apex 1/3-½ length, white staining dull pale yellow to pale brown from handling, white at the base; interior white above, dark olive in the base. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
Habitat:

Quercus oleoides, Pinus caribaea. On sandy soil.
