Description:

Pileus 6-18 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry to moist or subviscid when wet, subtomentose to matted subtomentose, becoming areolate cracked with exposure, orange to orange brown (7A-B-C8). Context white, changing to avellaneous to deep fuscous when exposed, pale blue green at base. Stipe narrowly to broadly clavate, 1.5-7 cm broad, with scabers white when young, becoming dark brown to black with age.
Habitat:

Páramo. Comarostaphylis arbutoides, Vaccinium consanguineum, Pernettya prostrata. Gregarious. On soil.
