Description:
Pileus 6.5-8.5 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, matted subvelutinous, dark brown to liver brown (8F8-7-6-5), even, NH4(-). Flesh up to 1 cm thick, white to pinkish, with mild odor and taste. Tubes depressed around stipe, yellow (2A6-5) at first then greenish yellow (2C6) with age, unchanging when exposed; pores concolorous with tubes, changing to a light cinnamon brown when bruised. Stipe 5.5-9 cm long, 13-16 mm broad, ±equal and tapered at the base, dry, subscabrous-ridged, yellow at apex, clay color (5D5) below, becoming light red brown above with age, clay color below, with white mycelium at base; interior white, solid, unchanging. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
