Description:

Pileus 1-2.5 cm broad, dry, convex, appressed subtomentose or with very fine fibrils that are brown on 4A3-5A3 ground color (the latter predominant, the fine brown fibrils apparent with a lens). Flesh yellow, not changing, up to 7 mm deep. Lamellae decurrent, subdistant, broad, yellow (bright) (3A4-4A6), not staining, with even edges. Stipe 2-4 cm long, 3-4 mm broad, equal, curved or rarely strict; surface dry, yellow (3A4), staining pinkish (7A4) with handling, fibrillose striate; interior solid, yellow, unchanging, NH4-violet on pileus and flesh.
Habitat:

Mixed forest. Lithocarpus, Castanopsis acuminatissima, Anisoptera thurifera. Gregarious. On soil.
