Description:

Pileus 5-8 cm broad, plane with uplifted margins, dry, finely subtomentose, brown becoming pale brown and finely areolate. Flesh very pale yellow, slowly changing to light blue when exposed. Lamellae adnate at first, soon subdecurrent, bright yellow becoming olive yellow, cyanescent when bruised, wrinkled and anastomosed, nearly subporoid in areas. Stipe 2.5-3 cm long, 1-2.5 cm broad, equal to tapering downward, central to lateral, dry, light brown, yellow at apex, fibrillose striate, with interior whitish, staining pale brown near base. NH4: pinkish lilac (a grayish magenta fide Methuen) on pileus.
Habitat:

Sclerophyll. Syncarpia, Leptospermum, Eucalyptus pilularis. Gregarious. On sand.
