Description:

Pileus 30-34 mm, convex becoming plane, densely matted subtomentose, bright yellow (3A5-3A6) with minute olive green (3E5) fibrils over surface; margin straight to slightly decurved in maturity. Context bright yellow (3A6), slowly bluing. Odor mild; taste mild or faintly bitter. Hymenophore Poroid, slightly depressed around stipe. Pores 2-3 per mm, round to slightly angular, pinkish (5B3) in maturity. Hymenophore peels fairly easily from pileus, but not easily separable from itself, having a somewhat moist, sticky, subglutinous texture so that pulling the hymenophore apart produces glutinous strands that stretch when pulled. Stipe 39-46 x 6-7 mm, equal, solid, minutely pubescent to minutely flocculose; bright yellow (3A5-3A6) Context bright yellow (3A6), bluing slowly; context near base bright yellowish orange (4A8). Basal mycelium scant.
