Description:

Pileus 3-7 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, finely subtomentose to finely matted, dark brownish orange to light brown (6D8) on disc and brownish orange at margin (6B-C8). Flesh pale orange to orange, unchanging, with mild odor and mild to slightly unpleasant (not bitter or acrid) taste. Tubes adnexed, dark orange to orange, with dull yellow stuffed pores when young, unchanging, apparently with a stuffed to web-like covering with age. Stipe 4-6.5 cm long, 1-2.5 cm broad, equal, strict or curved, dry, orange to bright orange above, paler orange below, orange at base, glabrous to mottled and streaked, with interior pale orange, unchanging, solid, dark ochraceous at base.
