Description:

Pileus finely squamulose, soon matted and plaque-like, gray brown to black, dry. This is the taxon with barely any veil remnants on stipe (the latter reticulate to nearly coarsely so). Flesh is white then a pale dull reddish before black.
Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll. Allocasuarina sp., Acacia sp., Eucalyptus sp. Gregarious. On soil.
