Description:

Pileus 13.5 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, subvelutinous to subtomentose, dark brown (7F8-7), NH4 - not definitive, just darker, some scalloping at margin. Flesh white, 2-3 cm thick, slowly changing to blue. Lamellae decurrent, subdistant, poroid to subporoid near margin, bright yellow (2A7), changing to blue green when bruised, up to 1.5 cm broad, with even edges. Stipe 5 cm long, 2 cm broad, slightly tapering downward, dry, matted subtomentose, light tan, with white and some yellow in the basal mycelium, with interior as in pileus.
Habitat:

Temperate forest. Nothofagus cunninghamii, Eucalyptus regnans. Solitary. On soil.
