Description:

Diagnosis: The taxon may be recognised by the velutinous, dark brownish black pileus and stipe, pinkish vinaceous mature hymenophore, and white, bitter tasting context. Basdiospores in deposit are a pinkish brown (7D5, Methuen Handbook of Colour) when fresh.
