Description:
Distribution.: Tasmania
Notes: Spores reported as 12–12.5(–15) × 5–5.5(–6.6) µm
Comments: Fistulinella prunicolor is comparable but this latter is darker colored and is described as having yellow staining. Fistulinella prunicolor is reported to have narrower and shorter spores. Fistulinella mollis is comparable is paler and, although not originally described as having yellow staining, is reported to do so by Bougher & Syme (1998). Fistulinella rodwayi is also purple tinged but is reported just from Tasmania.
