Description:

Pileus 2.5-5.5 cm broad, convex to plane, dry, matted subtomentose, near 5E5 when young, fading to 5C4. Flesh white, up to 1 cm thick, slowly avellaneous when exposed; odor miuld; taste styptic. Tubes boletinoid, subdecurrent 4A2 when young, 5B3 with age, 7E4 at maturity, compound, shallow (up to 3 mm long); pores up to 2 mm broad, concolorous, staining like tubes. Stipe central to eccentric, ±equal to tapering below, dry, pallid with pale brown fine pruina, white at the base. Spore print dull pinkish brown.
Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll. Allocasuarina littoralis, Eucalyptus intermedia. Gregarious. On soil.
