Description:

Pileus 4-7 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, with suede-like texture, becoming matted with age, sticky, becoming viscid-subglutinous with age, yellowish white to off-white developing pale pinkish tints with age (4A2-5A2), with conspicuous sterile velar flap at margin. Flesh white, unchanging, extremely bitter, with mild odor. Tubes adnexed, white at first, pinkish vinaceous with age. Stipe 5-8 cm long, 1-2 cm broad, white, subequal to subclavate, white with yellowish orange stains (in situ) at base, lacerated lacunose-reticulate, sticky-viscid, with interior white, unchanging, with white mycelium at base.
Habitat:

Beech forest. Nothofagus menziesii. Gregarious. On soil.
