Description:

gregarious. Pileus 5-9 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, very finely matted to finely subtomentose, light gray (4A2-4B3-4A2-4B2). Flesh very pale yellow at first, changing to light blue when exposed and then whitish with age, but with the blue tones remaining, with mild odor and bitter taste. Tubes adnate to adnexed, yellow, cyanescent; pores pale red cyanescent. Stipe 6-8 cm long, 1.5-2 cm broad, curved, ±equal, dry, reticulate 1/3 stipe length, with reticulum yellow, bright lemon yellow at apex, gray in mid-portion, brownish gray and finally brown at base, with white basal mycelium; interior pale yellow, staining as in pileus. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.

Quercus peduncularis. On sandy soil.
