Description:

gregarious. Pileus 5.5-9 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, subvelutinous to subtomentose becoming finely Areolate, sooty brown to clay color (5F5, 5D4), with even margin. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed to deeply adnexed, mustard yellow to olive (3B6, 3E6), unchanging when exposed; pores concolorous and unchanging. Stipe 7-10 cm long, 1.8-2.4 cm broad, equal and pinched at the base, dry, conspicuously reticulate nearly to base, dark brown to cinnamon brown (6F5, 6F4, 6E5), white at base, with white basal mycelium; interior solid, white, unchanging. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
