Description:

Pileus 2-9 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, subtomentose to matted subtomentose, brownish yellow to light brown to golden brown (5C-D8,7,6) to yellowish brown (5E8), with irregular inrolled margin, often with a stiff sterile edge. Flesh yellow to light yellow, solid, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate, greenish yellow to mineral green, staining a brighter yellow, with pores regular and staining likewise. Stipe 2-5 cm long, 1-3.5 cm broad, equal to swollen about the middle, dry, finely matte to finely subtomentose, white to bright yellow, staining reddish erratically on surface, white at base, with interior pale yellow at first, white with age, unchanging.
Habitat:

Dry sclerophyll. Eucalyptus, Xanthostemon, Allocasuarina. Gregarious. On soil.
