Map requests should be emailed to Liz at egjieli@nybg.org
Please include:
- purpose of map (publication, presentation, exploratory spatial data analysis, etc.)
- map type and quantity of maps, if applicable (new species distribution, species range, area of occupancy and extent of occurrence calculations, niche modelling, etc.)
- all occurrence point data must be provided, in decimal degrees coordinates preferred. Ideal format is as a CSV with latitude and longitude values in separate columns where column headers do not contain spaces
- color preference: gray-scale or colorized map
- GIS layer preference: terrain data, aerial imagery, hydrography data, basic political subdivisions only, land use, soil type dataset, etc.
