The herbarium maintains exchange priority lists for herbaria desiring specimens from certain areas or plant groups. In the sorting room (154) on the first floor, there are cubbyholes labeled with acronyms of the herbaria on these lists.

If you would like to send identified duplicates of your collections as exchange, you may add your specimens to the cubbies in the sorting room.  If the cubbyhole is already filled, please bundle all of the specimens with your own, add a drop tag clearly marked with the herbarium acronym and the word 'exchange' and place on the half high in the sorting room to be frozen.  If you have questions about this process please contact Lucy, Nicole, Amy or Edgardo.
