Description

Comparison of the leaves of Betula lenta and B. alleghaniensis based on Mori et al. 27797 and 27798 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk of the Westchester Land Trust, Westchester Co., New York. Note that B. lenta leaves are smaller, have a more cordate leaf base, and have less jagged marginal teeth than B. alleghaniensis.
