  Abaxial view of a leaf blade surface near the base of a leaf blade of Quercus velutina based on Mori & Gracie 27770 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk of the Westchester Land Trust, Westchester Co., New York.The trichomes of this species are stellate and more densely covered than most other individuals of Q. velutina that we have seen.
