Description
Pileus 2.5-6.5 cm broad, convex, dry, black to dark brown, to dark olive brown toward margin, finely matted, wrinkling and incurved to inrolled at margin. Flesh bright yellow, bluing when exposed, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate, shallow, yellow, bluing, with light red pores, bluing. Immature. Stipe 3-6 cm long, 1-2.5 cm broad, equal and tapered at base, dry, glabrous, yellow and mottled with bits of pink or pale red, plae red near base, with white basal myclieum, with interior yellow, bluing when exposed, red at the base with age.
