Description
Pileus 4-6 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, pale yellow to yellow to whitish in places, with red stains in situ, sgtaining blue when bruised, glaborus to matted (difficult, covered with soil and sand). Flesh yellow, staining blue, with mild to slightly pungent, non-idosyncratic odor, and mild taste. Tubes adnexed, bright yellow, staining blue, with small pores (<1 mm broad), staining blue. Stipe 3 cm long, 17 mm broad, equal and narrowed at base, dry, pale yellow, somewhat matted to faintly subvelutinous, staining blue when bruised, with white mycelium at base, with interior solid, yellow and changing to blue.
