Distribution
Ixora arborea Blanco PI. Filip. (1837) 61 (sp. nov.); ed. 2 (1845) 42; ed. 3, 1 (1877) 78, non Roxb.= IXORA MACROPHYLLA Bartl. Blanco's species was reduced by Fernandez-Villar to Ixofik stricta Roxb., but although the description is short and imper- fect it manifestly does not agree with Roxburgh’s species. So far as the description goes it is in entire agreement with Ixora ' macrophylla Bartl., a species based on Philippine material and one of wide distribution in the forests of the Archipelago at low and medium altitudes. Illustrative specimen from Batangas Province, Luzon, July, 1914 (leaves narrower than in the type) (Merrill: Species Blatif coanae No. 734). 10.01.2015 Ixora bartlingii Elmer ^det./conf. C.
