SESBANIA GRANDIFLORA Pers.; 'Blanco FI. Filip, (1837) 599; ed. 2 (1845) 418; ed. 3, 2 (1879) 399,t. 291. Persoon’s species was correctly interpreted by Blanco. It is common and widely distributed in the Philippines at low alti- tudes, usually planted, sometimes spontaneous. It is certainly of prehistoric introduction in the Philippines.
