POLYGONACEAE
POLYGONUM Linnaeus
Polygonum stoloniferum Blanco FI. Filip. (1837) 314 (Potig&rliim) (sp.;
nov.) ; ed. 2 (1845) 219; ed. 3, 2 (1878) 45=POLYGONUM BARBA-
TUM Linn.
There is no doubt as to the correctness of Fernandez-Viîlâr*!
reduction of Blanco’s species. It is cominon and widely, dis-
tributed in the Philippines at low and medium altitudes, but
the only region near Manila where it has been found is Pasig,
the town from which Blanco secured his specimens.
Illustrative specimen from Antipolo, Rizal Province, Luzon,
November, 1914 (Merrill: Species Blancoanae No. 141).
