ìt is impossible to determine the exact status of this variety,
from any existing monograph. It is one of the commonest
stnd most widely distributed forms in thè Philippines, as it thrives
with little ór no cultivation ; it does, not, however, occur wild.
The fruits are yellowish when, mature, rather thick skinned,
and the pulp is rather inferior in flavor.

March, 191J>, there known as saba (Merrill: Species Blanco^
amie No. 868).
