Succulent, Ht 8-10m, base decumbent (or
erect) stem about lm long (or absent),
leaves to 2m long entire or toothed at
base, peduncle 10-20cm in diameter at base
producing bulbs in axils of infl. Common
in thick low forest and transition zones
between forest and savanna.
