Swamp forest grading to submerged swamp to burned savanna to wet
savanna and semi-scrub. Erect herb growing in dry savanna. Entire plant
covered in soft, white trichomes. Leaf bases purple. Inflorescence
scapose terminal spike. Palea and lemma yellow; anthers brown; glumes
green, acute. Silica sample.
