Jonesville, Butte County. On and near rocky creek-banks;
common but not abundant.
Inconstant in characters supposed to mark the variety and to
distinguish E. rob tost urn A. Br. as a species. There are usually two
rows of tubercles. ‘ * Rosettes5 ’ are present, but may be almost
obsolete, and the groove in the sheath-teeth may be evident or
obsolete.
